Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Kraft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko CC (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Kraft! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mirko CC! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from CC. No joy for Kraft on that attempt. Kraft throws a sloppy head kick and CC moves out of range easily. Kraft tries a head kick but it misses.
Kraft tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but CC swivels and escapes. Kraft avoids the head kick by CC.

Horrible takedown by Kraft or perhaps it was just good defense by CC which made him look bad. An inside leg kick from Kraft misses. The fight stays on the outside here - CC looks like he's thinking about clinching though. CC misses with a head kick.
Kraft shoots in and drives through. CC sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice takedown defense from CC. No joy for Kraft on that attempt. Kraft tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but CC paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kraft shoots in but no luck this time. That's one minute gone in the round. CC fails miserably with a takedown attempt. CC shoots in but Kraft avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kraft fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kraft stuffs the takedown. Kraft swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kraft is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice sprawl there from CC as Kraft shoots in. Kraft with a poor takedown and CC counters with a stiff right hand. Kraft is breathing heavily. CC fails in his attempt to clinch. Kraft wants to clinch and CC counters into the clinch. Nicely done. CC misses with some punches.

Kraft wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but CC has him pressed against the cage. Kraft is trying to break free. Kraft is trying to work for a single leg takedown but CC pulls him back up using the underhooks. CC manages to break the clinch.
CC shoots in but no luck this time. CC clinches up against the cage. Kraft tries to throw a body punch but CC avoids it by throwing Kraft back against the cage. CC keeps control of Kraft as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. CC fails to pull guard.
CC jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kraft walks away with a smile on his face. CC gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kraft wants to land a leg kick but CC is out of range. Kraft shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says CC as he avoids it easily. CC tries a head kick but it misses.
Kraft keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. CC fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kraft pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thomas Kraft seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kraft lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Mirko CC has been cut. Kraft shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with CC but CC pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kraft fails with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kraft stuffs the takedown. No luck for CC with that takedown attempt. Kraft uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by CC.

Kraft fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kraft fails to land the takedown. CC misses with a takedown attempt - Kraft sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kraft tries a head kick but it misses.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Kraft dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mirko CC's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kraft drives through with a takedown into guard. Kraft is working CC over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kraft is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kraft advances position into side control! Kraft cracks CC with a big right hand but CC just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kraft lands a nice forearm strike. CC seems a little lost for a moment, as Kraft dominates the positioning. Kraft is putting a hurting on CC here, landing some big shots from side control. CC is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kraft tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kraft has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kraft has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kraft working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. CC is breathing heavily. CC is trying to control Kraft's posture but Kraft avoids it. Kraft lands a few punches from side control. A control attempt from CC but he's now mounted! Kraft controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kraft landing punches. Kraft pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kraft is going olschool here, as he tries to force CC to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so CC shrugs it off. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if CC can do anything to dispel that myth. CC wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. CC is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
CC really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kraft. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kraft cracks CC with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing CC from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. CC looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Kraft controls the position. Kraft has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kraft is hanging on to CC's back as he tries to escape.
Kraft really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for CC. Kraft sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! CC taps out!
