PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nig Nig (ranked 501 p4p, 272 weight class) and Ryan Bolt (ranked 77 p4p, 46 weight class). Nig comes to the cage accompanied by Psycho by Beasts of Bourbon. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Bolt!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nig throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nig lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Ryan Bolt has been cut.
Bolt tried to score with a low kick but Nig checks it.

Nig looks to land a left hand but Bolt moved out of range nicely.
Bolt has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bolt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Despite the aggression on Bolt's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nig lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Nig has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Nig is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bolt.

Bolt throws a leg kick which misses Nig's front leg but catches the back leg as Nig tries to avoid it.
Bolt lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nig's sensitive parts.
Nig misses with an uppercut. Bolt saw that one coming.
Bolt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bolt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nig lands with a hook. Bolt tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Nig takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Ryan Bolt's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Bolt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nig looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Bolt is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Nig with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
