Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Giggle Valentine (ranked 2788 p4p, 3563 weight class) and Steven Seagull (ranked 163 p4p, 194 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giggle Valentine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Seagull!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seagull moves into the clinch.
Seagull has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Valentine avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

It looked like Valentine wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Seagull connects with a body shot that sends Valentine's belly button to the back.
Seagull ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Valentine moves away.

Seagull throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Valentine stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've been told by Valentine's head coaches at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Valentine cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looked like Valentine was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Seagull closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Seagull wants a takedown but no success here.
Seagull seems to have recovered his senses.
Giggle Valentine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Seagull.
Valentine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Valentine counters with a three punch combo that has Seagull backing up. Seagull nods at Valentine to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Seagull throws a predictable looking body shot
and Valentine counters with a flying knee that drops Seagull! Valentine dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
