Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Radar (ranked 1056 p4p, 925 weight class) and Balal Lama (ranked 149 p4p, 134 weight class). Balal Lama has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Radar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balal Lama!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radar explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Radar with a hook.
Radar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lama shoots in and drives through. Radar sprawls well.
Radar's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lama connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Radar scrambles back to his feet.

Radar smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Radar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lama takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Lama shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Radar pinned against the cage. Radar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Radar clobbers Lama with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lama fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Radar avoids it really well and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lama has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Radar.

Radar connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Lama to escape the position.
Radar is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Lama. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
You can see the frustration on Lama's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Radar is looking for the choke from the back position but Lama is controlling his hands well.

Radar is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lama has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lama working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
