Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pasha Geits (ranked 2912 p4p, 3362 weight class) and Jock McCann (ranked 385 p4p, 435 weight class). Pasha Geits has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pasha Geits!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jock McCann!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geits throws a leg kick which misses McCann's front leg but catches the back leg as McCann tries to avoid it.

McCann manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Geits on his heels. He'll look to pass Geits's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

McCann connects with a good right hand that stumbles Geits. Geits circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Geits shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McCann sprawls well. McCann wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Geits gets slowly back to his feet.

McCann breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Geits fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McCann has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Geits throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCann's waist but McCann gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Geits off to one side.

McCann clinches.

McCann gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Geits regains guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Geits manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
McCann creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Geits's defenses.

McCann has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Geits uses from the top position.

McCann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Geits swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McCann seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

McCann is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Geits has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. McCann has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McCann in particular looking to stall.

Geits has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McCann is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Geits.

McCann remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

After the fight, Jock McCann was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
