Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micco Peramaki (ranked 1288 p4p, 1679 weight class) and Mark Clarke (ranked 170 p4p, 214 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Micco Peramaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Clarke!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Peramaki.
Micco Peramaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peramaki's corner calls for a 1-2. Peramaki obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Clarke is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Peramaki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Clarke changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

The fighters circle momentarily. Peramaki darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Mark Clarke has been cut.
Clarke needs to keep his hands up - Peramaki had a free shot at his head there.

and Clarke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peramaki's guard.

Peramaki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Clarke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Clarke lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Clarke has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Combat Wombat Burrow. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Clarke keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Peramaki's head.
Peramaki seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peramaki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Clarke controls the pace.
Clarke must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Peramaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clarke doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clarke manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Clarke slips a nice elbow through Peramaki's hands, connecting with Peramaki's forehead.
Clarke is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Clarke takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Clarke is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Peramaki is trying to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Clarke working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Clarke landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Peramaki is rocked!
Clarke lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Peramaki quite badly. Peramaki pulls Clarke in close trying to recover. Clarke postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Peramaki on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Peramaki doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Clarke!
A relieved looking Mark Clarke thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
