Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Louis!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louis shoots for a takedown but Bean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Louis dives in and grabs Bean's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bean pushes down on Louis's head and hops out.
Louis with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bean makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mr Bean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Louis.
Bean looks to score with a jab to the body but Louis is just out of range.

Louis gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bean is leaning against Louis and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Louis prevents Bean from breaking the clinch.
I was talking to Bean's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bean breaks the clinch.
Louis shoots in and drives through. Bean sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bean throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Louis with the counter takedown but Bean avoids it easily.
Louis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bean.
Louis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bean swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Louis fails with the takedown
and Bean counters with a stiff right hand.
Louis shoots for a takedown but Bean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Louis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It looked like Bean wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Louis shoots in for a takedown but Bean shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Louis throws a sloppy head kick and Bean moves out of range easily.
Louis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bean but Bean pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bean with a hook.

Louis misses with a body shot.
Bean swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Louis looks for the body kick but Bean saw that one coming.
Louis lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Bean throws a big shot that misses.
Bean misses with an uppercut

and Louis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bean's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bean trying to keep a closed guard but Louis is proving a slippery customer.
Bean looking to hit a scissor sweep but Louis is one step ahead there.
Bean can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Louis controls the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bean looking for a sweep. Not yet Bean, not yet.
Bean not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bean looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Louis controls from within his opponent's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Louis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Louis slips under a jab.
Bean jabs Louis to the body, keeping him at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Louis moves out of range of the strikes.
Louis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
An attempted straight right counter from Bean misses the target.
Louis fails with the takedown.
Louis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Louis on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Louis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Louis is trying for a kimura here. Bean looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Louis wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Steve Louis!
