Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joao Gamer (ranked 3688 p4p, 3218 weight class) and Renato Arbani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Gamer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Renato Arbani!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arbani dives in and grabs Gamer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gamer pushes down on Arbani's head and hops out.
Arbani misses with a takedown attempt
and Gamer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Arbani takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Arbani fails with a takedown attempt.
Joao Gamer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Arbani.

and Gamer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gamer throws a hook to the side of Arbani's head but Arbani sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Arbani closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gamer to the mat! Gamer manages to get full guard.
Arbani trying to control but Gamer is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arbani pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gamer is keeping the position for now.
Gamer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gamer tries to get out of the position.
Arbani is still trying to improve position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gamer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gamer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Arbani drops back looking for a leg! Gamer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gamer manages to kick Arbani off! Arbani jumps back into Gamer's guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Arbani tries to free his leg and advance position but Gamer is retaining full guard.
Arbani controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Arbani closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Arbani looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Arbani thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Arbani is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gamer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Let's hope that Arbani has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Arbani tries to advance to mount but can't.
Arbani passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gamer!
Arbani looking to control but Gamer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gamer is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Renato Arbani dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Arbani shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gamer defends it nicely.
Gamer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Renato Arbani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arbani misses with a takedown attempt - Gamer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Arbani avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Arbani shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gamer as he avoids it easily.
Joao Gamer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Arbani.
Arbani uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gamer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arbani moves out of range as Gamer strikes.
Gamer stuffs the takedown attempt from Arbani. Arbani gets slowly back to his feet.
Gamer swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gamer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Arbani tries for a takedown but Gamer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Arbani shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gamer as he jumps to the side.
Arbani slips a straight right by Gamer.

Arbani shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Arbani controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Arbani postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gamer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Arbani, into his guard.

Arbani not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Arbani is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Arbani escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gamer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Arbani looking for a triangle here. Gamer is fighting it but it looks tight! Arbani pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gamer is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Renato Arbani!
