Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Mercer (ranked 836 p4p, 891 weight class) and Bernhard River (ranked 89 p4p, 97 weight class). Mercer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Why Can't We Be Friends by WAR. River has chosen Metallica: Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Bernhard River is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Mercer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bernhard River!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mercer drops River with a beautiful combination! River stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mercer is looking for the KO!

The fight stays on the outside here - Mercer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

It looked like Mercer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

I would just about give that final round to Bernhard River.
Well River has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
