Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 31 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Tate Iii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Talbain! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Talbain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tate Iii definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Talbain misses the body punch and Tate Iii moves into the clinch. Tate Iii effectively controlling the action here. Tate Iii has Talbain pushed against the ropes. Talbain is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Talbain is trying to break the clinch but Tate Iii is controlling him. Talbain wants to get back to striking at distance but Tate Iii won't allow it.

Curtis Tate Iii dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Tate Iii lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Talbain circles away quickly and effectively. Tate Iii tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Talbain was well out of range. Poor timing from Tate Iii. Talbain misses with a looping right. Tate Iii fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Talbain throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Talbain needs to keep his hands up - Tate Iii had a free shot at his head there. Talbain tries to clinch up. Talbain closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Curtis Tate Iii is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tate Iii swats away the attempt to clinch by Talbain. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tate Iii lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Talbain goes down! The ref sends Tate Iii to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Talbain is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!

It looks like Jon Talbain has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A looping hook to the body misses from Tate Iii. Talbain does a little dance to reset his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Talbain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Talbain fails in his attempt to clinch. Tate Iii is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Talbain can do to turn this around? Tate Iii misses with an uppercut. Talbain saw that one coming. Tate Iii looks to throw the jab but Talbain is out of range. Talbain tries to clinch but Tate Iii is having none of it. Talbain misses with the body kick and Tate Iii counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Talbain is looking to clinch but Tate Iii is avoiding it.

Tate Iii clips Talbain with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Talbain a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout. Talbain is still on wobbly legs! Can Tate Iii finish him? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Talbain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Talbain seems to have recovered his senses. Talbain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Tate Iii paws at him with a jab and circles away. Talbain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Talbain throws a sloppy head kick and Tate Iii moves out of range easily. Talbain walks straight into a solid jab from Tate Iii. Oh, it looks like it's stumbled him! Tate Iii follows up with a big combo - a right followed by a left that knocks Talbain out cold! Talbain toppled like a tree, face planting on the canvas. Wow, that was brutal!
