Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Sully (ranked 1439 p4p, 1227 weight class) and Torcadall Sailcirc (ranked 199 p4p, 169 weight class). Sully kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hail the Apocallipse. Sailcirc has chosen THE SCOTTS as his entrance music. Torcadall Sailcirc is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Sully! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Torcadall Sailcirc! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sailcirc keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sully. Sully walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sailcirc checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Sailcirc swings for the body but Sully moves out of range.
We've been told by Sully's head coaches at Tappelukerho that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Sully looks to score with a jab to the body but Sailcirc is just out of range. Sully throws a front kick that sends Sailcirc stumbling back into the cage. Sailcirc throws the left hand but Sully avoids the punch easily. Sully tries to clinch up. Sailcirc with the counter takedown but Sully avoids it easily. Sully rushes Sailcirc and presses him up against the cage. Sailcirc lands with a short head shot on the inside. Nice body punch from Sailcirc. Sully struggles to land a body shot inside as Sailcirc controls his hands.

Sully tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sully throws a head punch that misses. Sailcirc has hold of one of Sully's legs. Sully is fighting the takedown attempt but Sailcirc gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sailcirc stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sully swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sailcirc slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sailcirc is trying to control. Sully wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Sailcirc uses his free foot to push down on Sully's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sully. Sailcirc is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sully has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sailcirc goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sully turns into him and now he's in Sailcirc's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sailcirc looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sailcirc seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Sailcirc's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Sailcirc is continuing to stall. Sailcirc looking for a sweep. Not yet Sailcirc, not yet. Sully has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sully wants to pass the guard but Sailcirc is keeping the position. Sailcirc controlling the position. Sully wants to control from the top but Sailcirc keeps moving. Sailcirc controlling the position. Sully trying to control but Sailcirc is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sully uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sailcirc.
Sailcirc gets tackled into the cage by Sully. Sully maintains the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Sully. Sailcirc has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sully is trying to keep an underhook but Sailcirc manages to get the takedown into half guard. Sailcirc wants to advance to full mount but Sully doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Sailcirc wants to control from the top but Sully keeps moving. Sully is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sailcirc drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sully looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sully looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sully! Sailcirc struggling a bit here. Sailcirc is looking for a sweep. Sully wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sailcirc keeps working. Sailcirc wants to control but Sully postures up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jake Sully will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Sully lands a jab to the nose. Sully closes the distance and clinches. Sully lands a body shot. Sully misses with a punch on the inside.
Sully misses with a hook from the clinch. Sully is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sailcirc can do to turn this around? Sailcirc lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Sully gets underhooks to prevent Sailcirc's takedown attempt.
Sailcirc turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Sully is trying to control Sailcirc's posture but Sailcirc avoids it. Sully tries to improve position but can't. Sully is trying to control Sailcirc's posture but Sailcirc avoids it. Sailcirc is looking to take a break and control but Sully is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sailcirc goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sully has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sailcirc but great work by Sully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sully wants to control but Sailcirc is keeping him busy. Sailcirc is looking for a sweep. Sully wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sailcirc keeps working. Sully is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sailcirc is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Sailcirc is trying to get back to half guard. Sailcirc sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Sailcirc makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sailcirc.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sailcirc holds on and takes a little breather. Sully sitting in guard here, content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sailcirc bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sully's guard. Sailcirc looking to sit in guard and control but Sully gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sailcirc working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sully is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sully has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sailcirc is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sully advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sailcirc is looking to reverse the position. Sully controlling from side mount. Sailcirc is trying to improve his position. Sully wants to control but Sailcirc is keeping him busy. Jake Sully overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sailcirc is looking to reverse the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. You can see the frustration on Sailcirc's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Sully dominated that second round. That's time! Sully's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round! Sailcirc circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sailcirc keeps the fight on the outside. Nice takedown defense from Sully. No joy for Sailcirc on that attempt. Jab, jab by Sailcirc - just one landing. Sully tries to close the distance and clinch but Sailcirc swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Torcadall Sailcirc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sailcirc bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sully's head. Sailcirc avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sully tries to clinch up. Sailcirc moves away from the strike by Sully. Sailcirc catches Sully with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Sully misses with a body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Sailcirc. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sailcirc. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Sailcirc with that takedown attempt. Sully is looking to clinch. Sailcirc scores with a punch to the head. Sully doesn't manage to clinch there - Sailcirc circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sully clinches up with Sailcirc and pushes him back against the cage. Sully prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jake Sully has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Torcadall Sailcirc. Good body shot from Sully.

Sailcirc working some nice short punches in the clinch. Sully lands with a left to the head. Sailcirc pulls guard successfully.
Sully trying to control the position from guard on top but Sailcirc is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sailcirc looking to control.
Sailcirc is looking for a triangle but Sully pushes his legs off easily.
Sully not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Sailcirc lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sailcirc wants to control from the top but Sully keeps moving. Sailcirc is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sully is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sully has escaped and now he's on top! Sully wants to control from the top but Sailcirc keeps moving. Sailcirc has control of Sully's left arm, preventing Sully from doing any damage. Sailcirc wants to sweep here but Sully controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sailcirc looking to control.
Sully slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sailcirc is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jake Sully is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sailcirc wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Sully is now in half guard. Sully slows the pace down in half guard. Sully prevents Sailcirc from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sailcirc controlling the position for now. Sully wants to stand up but Sailcirc has a hold of him and won't allow it. Sailcirc tries to roll over but Sully keeps him under control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sully seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Torcadall Sailcirc has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sailcirc ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sully moves away.
And that's the end of the fight! Torcadall Sailcirc comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sully has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
