Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bernie Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roman Dmitriev!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dmitriev bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rivers's head.
Rivers misses with a leg kick
and Dmitriev counters with a nice uppercut.
Dmitriev avoids the head kick by Rivers.
Rivers wants to clinch up but Dmitriev keeps it at a distance.
Rivers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dmitriev sprawls well initially but Rivers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dmitriev tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Rivers manages to move to mount!
Rivers is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dmitriev can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dmitriev wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Rivers working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Dmitriev is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Rivers has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Dmitriev taps out!
