Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Latrice Poole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Flannagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Latrice Poole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Flannagan! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flannagan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Nice strikes from Flannagan there. Flannagan wants to pass to mount but Poole is defending the position. Flannagan controlling the action here. Flannagan working Poole over with strikes. Poole wants to get back to full guard. Flannagan lands with a punch from half guard. Flannagan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Poole manages to escape and get back to his feet! Flannagan tries to work over Poole's front leg with a kick but Poole checks it. Poole moves out of range as Flannagan throws a body kick.
Poole will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Flannagan has closed the distance and engaged Poole in a clinch.
Flannagan tries to break free but Poole pushes him back against the cage. Flannagan utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Flannagan unloads a knee to the mid-section.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poole tries a knee to the head but Flannagan blocks it.
Poole has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Flannagan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Flannagan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Flannagan throws a nice looking combination but Poole bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Poole tries to clinch but Flannagan is having none of it. A slapping leg kick lands for Flannagan.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Flannagan. Flannagan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Flannagan throws a quick inside leg kick. Poole is breathing heavily. Flannagan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Flannagan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Flannagan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Flannagan controlling from the full mount. Flannagan tries to control but Poole wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flannagan dominating with strikes here. Poole looks very frustrated and is flailing away with strikes from the bottom. His corner are telling him to stay calm. Poole is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Flannagan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Flannagan lands with some strikes. A nice elbow there by Flannagan. Flannagan landing strikes, looking to finish! Flannagan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Poole hang on? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Flannagan punishing his opponent with strikes. A nice elbow there by Flannagan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poole tries to hold on but Flannagan pushes him away. Flannagan with shots to the head and body - Poole looks very uncomfortable down there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flannagan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Poole looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poole is in a horrible position here. Flannagan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Flannagan is going olschool here, as he tries to force Poole to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Poole shrugs it off. Flannagan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Poole can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Flannagan landing punches. Flannagan lands a heavy elbow. Flannagan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Poole hang on? Poole wants to hold on but Flannagan pushes him away. Flannagan with shots to the head and body - Poole looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Poole throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Poole is looking to get to half guard. Flannagan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Flannagan scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flannagan landing strikes from the mount and Poole is in trouble! Poole is looking to get to half guard. Flannagan landing strikes from the mount and Poole is in trouble! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Flannagan dominated that round. That's time! Poole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Flannagan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Poole misses with a takedown and Flannagan counters with a one-two to the body. Flannagan lands a head kick. Poole smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Poole shoots in but Flannagan avoids the takedown attempt easily. Flannagan lands a head kick!
Flannagan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Poole's hands. Latrice Poole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Flannagan throws a quick inside leg kick. Flannagan darts in trying to clinch and Poole counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Flannagan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Flannagan pushes Poole up against the cage in a clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! Flannagan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flannagan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Poole is trying to keep an underhook but Flannagan manages to get the takedown into half guard. Flannagan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Poole wants to get back to his feet.
Poole wants to get back to full guard. Flannagan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Flannagan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Flannagan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Poole taking some punishment here, with Flannagan in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poole is trying to escape back to his feet but Flannagan uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Flannagan controlling the position. Flannagan with the ground and pound but Poole regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Flannagan works his foot free and advances to mount. Flannagan working away from the top, dropping strikes. Poole can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Flannagan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Poole with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Flannagan trying to advance position but Poole counters by regaining guard. Flannagan wants to control from the top but Poole keeps moving. Flannagan with a flurry of punches that miss. Flannagan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Poole works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Flannagan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Flannagan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Poole manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Poole lands a nice shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Poole lands a big shot there that rocks Flannagan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Flannagan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Flannagan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Poole working for a guillotine from mount but Flannagan is in no mood to give up. Poole controlling from mount. Flannagan is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but George Flannagan will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Flannagan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Flannagan working the ground and pound from side control. Flannagan working away. Flannagan working the body and head with strikes. Flannagan stands up. Poole avoids the body shot from Flannagan.
Poole tries to clinch up but Flannagan circles away and keeps his distance. Flannagan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Poole but Poole pushes him off and we're back to square one. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Flannagan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Poole. Poole fails to land the takedown. Flannagan tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Poole counters with a nice double leg into side control. Flannagan won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poole working the ground and pound from side control. Poole tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Flannagan wants to control but Poole postures up. Flannagan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Poole's best efforts. Flannagan is pressing down on Poole's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Poole trying to control the position from guard on top but Flannagan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Poole trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Poole is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Flannagan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Flannagan keeping full guard, as Poole tries to pass. Flannagan striking from the bottom here. Flannagan looking to control.
Flannagan trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Flannagan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Flannagan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Flannagan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Flannagan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Flannagan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Flannagan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flannagan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poole keeps working. Poole is trying to escape back to his feet but Flannagan uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Poole is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Flannagan off and has taken his back! Poole is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Flannagan. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. I really don't envy Flannagan right now.
Poole doesn't have the hooks in and Flannagan manages to turn into his guard.
Flannagan looking to sit in guard and control but Poole gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Poole sitting in guard, not really doing much. Poole has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Poole takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Poole postures up.
Flannagan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Poole is one step ahead there. Flannagan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Flannagan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Poole trying to stand up but can't free himself from Flannagan's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to George Flannagan. Well Flannagan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
