The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zurauskas misses with a low kick. Van Cleefe throws a series of punches but Zurauskas avoids them all with ease. Zurauskas throws a body shot but no joy. Van Cleefe drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Zurauskas loads up on a big right hand but Van Cleefe slips the punch. Van Cleefe tries to close the distance and clinch but Zurauskas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Zurauskas scores with a nice right hand.

Zurauskas is staying active underneath Van Cleefe, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Van Cleefe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zurauskas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Van Cleefe wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Zurauskas, who protects the arm well. Zurauskas is looking for a sweep. Van Cleefe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Zurauskas is looking for a sweep. Van Cleefe is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zurauskas can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Cleefe working away. Van Cleefe tries for a kimura. Van Cleefe unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Zurauskas wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Van Cleefe celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
