Penn comes into the arena with Bruddah Iz - E Ala E blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rustus shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Penn lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Ralf Rustus has been cut.
Rustus throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like sergio Penn has been cut.
Rustus keeps the fight on the outside.
Rustus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Penn as he jumps to the side.
Rustus shoots in and drives through. Penn sprawls well.
sergio Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralf Rustus.
Rustus fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Penn scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Penn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rustus pinned against the cage. Rustus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rustus.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Penn stalks Rustus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rustus's face. Rustus staggers backwards, shaken.
Rustus is rocked!
Penn misses with a takedown
and Rustus counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rustus.
Rustus looks gassed!
Rustus wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving.
Penn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rustus!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rustus tries to lock up and control but Penn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rustus really wants to buck Penn off and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rustus is looking to improve his position but Penn isn't that keen on the idea.
Rustus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Rustus is squirming around, avoiding Penn's attempts to control the action.
Penn is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Penn!
