Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Frankies (ranked 2267 p4p, 2516 weight class) and Gajah Mada (ranked 305 p4p, 327 weight class). Frankies comes to the cage accompanied by Steady as she goes. Mada has chosen Fighter Mode as his entrance music. Gajah Mada struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Gajah Mada looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mada with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Frankies to score with a decent uppercut.

Frankies gets a clinch.

Frankies is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mada can't fight it off and eventually Frankies manages to take the fight to the floor. Mada looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frankies seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mada for as long as he can get away with.

Frankies's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Frankies definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Frankies tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Frankies cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Frankies throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mada on the side of the head.
Mada's coach down at Reach Around was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mada's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Frankies scores with a jab. Mada acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Frankies drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Mada right on the button. Mada goes down! Frankies follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Frankies gets the win via TKO!
