Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Brasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Meyer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer tries to close the distance and clinch but Brasco swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horrible takedown by Brasco or perhaps it was just good defense by Meyer which made him look bad.
Brasco dodges the punch combination from Meyer.
Meyer looks to land a combination but Brasco avoids it well.
Meyer thows a body kick. Brasco tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Meyer throws a right and a left that Brasco avoids nicely.
Meyer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Meyer misses with a jab, cross combination.
A left and a right from Meyer both land. Nice combination.
Meyer feints and then cracks Brasco's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brasco down.
Meyer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Brasco wants to pass the guard but Meyer is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Brasco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meyer is fending him off so far but Brasco persists. Nope, Meyer circles away and we're back to standing.
Brasco shoots in for a double leg but Meyer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie Brasco. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brasco looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brasco closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meyer circles away.
Meyer scores with a one two! Brasco had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Donnie Brasco has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Meyer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brasco swings away with a body shot that misses
and Meyer counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

and Brasco counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Meyer's guard now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Meyer is pulling down on Brasco's head. It's preventing any offense from Brasco, at least for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Brasco's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Brasco darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Meyer tries to roll over but Brasco keeps him under control.
Brasco is taking a breather. Meyer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Brasco tries to pass to full mount but Meyer defends it.

Meyer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brasco's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brasco's back!
Meyer is trying to stick to Brasco's back but Brasco is turning into Meyer. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Meyer's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Brasco.
Brasco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meyer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brasco postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Meyer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brasco, into his guard.
Brasco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brasco tries to get out of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Meyer wants to get up but he can't break Brasco's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Meyer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brasco thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Meyer is doing well to control the position and prevent Brasco from advancing to side control.
Meyer wants to control but Brasco is keeping busy.

Brasco is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Meyer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brasco.

Brasco is looking for a kimura but Meyer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brasco to get the leverage.

Meyer gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brasco is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Brasco's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Donnie Brasco.
I think Meyer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
