Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Petr Grevious! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Lewis! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grevious bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Grevious tries to move to mount but Lewis blocks the move with his legs. Lewis is not content to let Grevious control the position. Lewis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grevious wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lewis is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Lewis struggling a bit here. Grevious looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Lewis gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Grevious swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lewis is now in Grevious's guard. A big mistake from Grevious there, giving up the dominant position! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grevious throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Grevious looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Grevious is breathing heavily. Grevious looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Grevious has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lewis is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Grevious. Lewis tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Lewis decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lewis lands with a straight right. Grevious didn't see that one coming. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grevious swats away the attempt to clinch by Lewis. Grevious walks into a stiff left hand from Lewis. Lewis wants to land a leg kick but Grevious is out of range. Grevious ducks straight into an uppercut from Lewis and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Grevious maanges to regain guard straight away.
Grevious is rocked! Lewis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Oh Grevious is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Grevious keeping moving, preventing Lewis from controlling successfully. Grevious seems to have got his legs back now. Grevious wants to sweep here but Lewis controlling him for the moment. Grevious escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lewis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lewis gets to his feet. Grevious looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Petr Grevious seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Lewis lands a two punch combo.
Lewis drops Grevious with a right and a left! Lewis comes rushing in but Grevious regains his composure and manages to keep Lewis in guard.
Grevious had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lewis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Grevious Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lewis's back instead. Lewis trying to get back to his feet but Grevious is in full control for now. Grevious is trying to stick to Lewis's back but Lewis is turning into Grevious. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Grevious's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lewis. Grevious is trying to control the position but Lewis postures up. Lewis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lewis chips away with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis wants to control from the top but Grevious keeps moving. Grevious looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lewis passes into half guard.
Lewis wants to get back to his feet.
Lewis is thwarting Grevious's attempts to control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grevious won't allow Lewis to pass to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Grevious takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Lewis dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Nice sprawl there from Grevious as Lewis shoots in. Grevious closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Grevious lands in his opponent's guard. Grevious pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lewis is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis has Grevious pulled in close to control his posture. Lewis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Grevious is controlling him. Lewis pulls Grevious in close to prevent any damage. Grevious looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Grevious is controlling him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Grevious is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Grevious passes Lewis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lewis trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Grevious wants to control but Lewis is keeping him busy. Lewis is holding on to half guard well. Lewis is trying to stand up here but Grevious is controlling him well. Grevious wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working. Lewis looks like he's trying to stand up.
Grevious frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lewis tries to hold on but Grevious postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grevious goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lewis turns into him and now he's in Grevious's guard.

Lewis won't allow Grevious to sweep him here. Lewis looking to pass the guard. Lewis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Grevious looking to control.
Grevious has an active guard here but Lewis has managed to pass into half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lewis works the jab nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Grevious doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lewis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Petr Grevious will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Lewis throws a nice inside leg kick. Grevious showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lewis.
Grevious shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grevious showed some decent athleticism there. Grevious wants to free his trapped foot but Lewis is holding on for dear life with his legs. Lewis is trying to control but can't.
Lewis wants to get back to full guard. Grevious trying to control from Lewis's half guard. Lewis has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Grevious is pushing down on Lewis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lewis is fighting to maintain full guard but Grevious has managed to sneak the leg through. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grevious is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lewis is just riding it out for now. Grevious eventually gives up the hold. Grevious is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Grevious stalling away here and it's allowed Lewis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Lewis is looking to stand up but Grevious isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lewis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grevious can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lewis wants to get back to his feet but Grevious is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Grevious drops back looking for a leg! Lewis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lewis manages to kick Grevious off! Grevious jumps back into Lewis's guard. Lewis keeping moving, preventing Grevious from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lewis has closed the distance and engaged Grevious in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grevious is trying to drag Lewis to the mat but Lewis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Lewis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Grevious backwards. Lewis successfully pulls guard.

Grevious trying to control the position from guard on top but Lewis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lewis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grevious manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Grevious is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Grevious wants to control the position but Lewis says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Grevious looking for submissions off his back. Grevious looking for submissions off his back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Grevious has a hand on Lewis's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lewis takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
And that's the end of the fight! Ken Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lewis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
