Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ildefonso Jaquez (ranked 4298 p4p, 21546 weight class) and Dru Quick (ranked 115 p4p, 194 weight class). Quick comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gangster's Paradise- Coolio kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dru Quick will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick swats away the attempt to clinch by Jaquez.
Jaquez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jaquez lands a nice shot that snaps Quick's head back.
Jaquez swings for the body but Quick moves out of range.
Jaquez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Quick swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jaquez lands with an uppercut that bounces Quick off the ropes and back into range.
Quick motions for Jaquez to come forward. Quick throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Jaquez throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quick ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Quick jabs Jaquez right on the nose. Jaquez blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Ildefonso Jaquez has been cut.
Jaquez throws a sloppy body shot
and Quick makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Jaquez throws a sloppy head kick and Quick moves out of range easily.
Jaquez tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Quick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jaquez misses the shot to the body.
Quick attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Quick tests Jaquez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Quick scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Jaquez.

Quick takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Quick throws a leg kick but Jaquez sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jaquez thows a left - swing and a miss!

Quick keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've been told by Jaquez's head coaches at Thib's Sweat Shoppe that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Quick lunges at Jaquez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jaquez's hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It looked like Jaquez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jaquez connects with a solid leg kick.
Jaquez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jaquez darts in trying to clinch
and Quick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jaquez tries to clinch up but Quick circles away and keeps his distance.

Jaquez slips a jab from Quick.
Jaquez tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Quick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Quick throws a lazy right hand but Jaquez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dru Quick will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ildefonso Jaquez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jaquez is looking to slow Quick down with leg kicks.
Quick catches Jaquez napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Jaquez crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Quick raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
