Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 6035 p4p, 23669 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 43 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter A slaps away a takedown attempt from Fighter B, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Fighter A. No joy for Fighter B on that attempt. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fighter B lands in his opponent's guard. Fighter A has control of Fighter B's left arm, preventing Fighter B from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fighter A is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fighter A is taking a breather. Fighter B says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Fighter B actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B is trying to maintain the position but Fighter A is very close to passing his half guard. Fighter B keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Fighter A is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fighter A shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fighter A showed some decent athleticism there. Fighter A seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Fighter B closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter A, looking for a takedown. Fighter B pushes Fighter A against the cage but Fighter A circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fighter B fails to land the takedown. Fighter B stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter B wants it to stay on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter B's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. Fighter B changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fighter A tries to avoid it but Fighter B manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fighter A to the ground. Fighter A escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fighter B manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fighter A is standing up over Fighter B. Fighter B looks to escape but Fighter A dives into side control.
Fighter B can't do much from the bottom here. Fighter A takes a little break here. Fighter B wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter B tries to bench press Fighter A off him but Fighter A keeps the position. Fighter B wants to control but Fighter A postures up. Fighter A takes a little break here. Fighter B wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Fighter A has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt. Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick. Fighter B misses with a body kick. It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there. Fighter B dives in and scores a takedown into Fighter A's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fighter B is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Fighter A's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B looking to control.
Fighter A is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Further stalling from Fighter A. Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter A trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B checks the leg kick. Fighter B changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Fighter A shoots in and gets a takedown into Fighter B's guard. Fighter A is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter B can do to turn this around? Fighter A is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter B pulls Fighter A in close to prevent any damage. Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A is looking to work some ground and pound but Fighter B has wrist control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
And that's the end of the fight! Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fighter A has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
