Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Occitan Fury (ranked 4175 p4p, 4548 weight class) and Pepe Arvo Kurva (ranked 523 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Occitan Fury! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pepe Arvo Kurva! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fury doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kurva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fury tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kurva swivels and escapes. Fury shoots in and drives through. Kurva sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Occitan Fury. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kurva scores with a punch to the head. Horrible takedown attempt by Fury or perhaps it was just good defense by Kurva, which made it look bad. Kurva with a body punch. A glancing blow. Fury shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kurva sprawls well. Kurva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fury gets slowly back to his feet. Kurva let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kurva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fury throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kurva's waist but Kurva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fury off to one side. Kurva now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Kurva cracks a nice hook into Fury's ribs. Kurva scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Pepe Arvo Kurva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kurva digs a good body shot into Fury's ribs. Fury changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kurva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fury is breathing heavily. Kurva tries to bench press Fury off him but Fury keeps the position. Kurva wants to get back to his feet but Fury drags him back down. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kurva is looking for a sweep. Fury thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fury tries to advance to mount but Kurva denies him. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Kurva wants to control but Fury postures up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kurva is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Fury is staying active. Kurva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fury. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fury working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kurva can't do much from the bottom here. Fury wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kurva, who protects the arm well. Fury wants to control but Kurva is keeping him busy. Kurva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fury wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kurva is still trying to improve position. A lull in the action here. Fury tries to move to mount but Kurva blocks the move with his legs. Kurva is looking to regain half guard here but Fury keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurva struggling a bit here. Kurva tries to bench press Fury off him but Fury keeps the position. Fury just content to control the position. Fury thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fury is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kurva has escaped the position, nice work there. Kurva holds on to Fury's head and controls the position momentarily. Fury working away. Fury wants to control but Kurva is keeping him busy. Fury working away. Fury taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fury tries to advance to mount but can't. Kurva is not content to let Fury control the position. Fury is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kurva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kurva is looking to reverse the position. Kurva struggling a bit here. Fury is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kurva is trying to escape and Fury transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kurva is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fury! Very nice indeed!
