Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Han Mariduena (ranked 1164 p4p, 1663 weight class) and Wang Chung (ranked 30 p4p, 71 weight class). Wang Chung will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Han Mariduena! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wang Chung! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chung pushes Mariduena up against the cage in a clinch. Mariduena's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Chung fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mariduena sprawls well initially but Chung persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mariduena definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Mariduena wants to get back to full guard. Mariduena trying to control but Chung postures up.
Chung seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Mariduena flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

It looks like Han Mariduena has been cut. Chung throws the left hand but Mariduena avoids the punch easily. Chung has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mariduena throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chung sees it coming and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice combination there by Chung.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Han Mariduena. Well Chung has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
