Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Brown (ranked 4258 p4p, 3420 weight class) and Matvey Elin (ranked 542 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Matvey Elin enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matvey Elin!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Brown stuffs the takedown.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Elin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Elin as Brown shoots in.
Elin shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Elin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brown tries to avoid it but Elin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brown to the ground. Brown escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ryan Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matvey Elin.

Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown wants to improve his position but Elin is controlling well.
Elin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Brown tries to roll over but Elin keeps him under control.
Elin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Elin is landing with some decent strikes but Brown is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Elin wants to control the pace but Brown is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Elin lands a big shot there that rocks Brown but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
