Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lynton Miller (ranked 261 p4p, 357 weight class) and Ay Blyad (ranked 41 p4p, 57 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Miller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tool - Sober. Blyad has chosen luv as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Lynton Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ay Blyad!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws a leg kick that is checked

and Blyad counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Miller!

Blyad tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Miller is trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blyad remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Miller tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Blyad wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Blyad wants to work for an arm triangle but Miller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Blyad is pressing down on Miller's thigh, looking to free his foot. Miller is holding on for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Blyad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Miller.
Blyad throws out a counter right but Miller avoids it with no problem.
Miller fakes the leg kick and cracks Blyad in the body.

Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Miller is looking to take a break and control but Blyad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Miller misses with a head shot. Blyad uses the momentum to regain guard.

Miller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blyad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miller has managed to get both his arms back between Blyad's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Lynton Miller will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Blyad pulls Miller in close to his closed guard and prevents Miller from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blyad has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though.
