The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poppins dodges the punch combination from Cepa Urmus.

Poppins is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cepa Urmus.
It looks like Marylin Poppins has been cut.
Cepa Urmus instigates a clinch.
Cepa Urmus goes for a takedown in the clinch but Poppins prevents it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cepa Urmus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Poppins is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cepa Urmus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Poppins's back instead.
Poppins turns into Cepa Urmus and is now in his guard.

Poppins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Poppins is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Poppins works to advance to full mount. Cepa Urmus defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Poppins is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cepa Urmus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Cepa Urmus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cepa Urmus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Poppins, who protects the arm well.

Poppins manages to get back to half guard.

Poppins slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Poppins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Marylin Poppins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Poppins drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Poppins seems to have locked his on tight now - Cepa Urmus screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Poppins, as he picks up the win!
