Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pierre Ragout Mendy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Megnus Maximus Jr Maximus Jr!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus Jr moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
A slow jab from Mendy misses its intended target.
Mendy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maximus Jr sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mendy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mendy fails with a takedown attempt.
Mendy shoots in but Maximus Jr avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Ragout Mendy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maximus Jr fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mendy on the side of the head.
Mendy takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Mendy. Those never looked like landing.
Maximus Jr lands with a thumping leg kick.
Maximus Jr smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Maximus Jr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mendy goes for a double leg but Maximus Jr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Maximus Jr continues to drive forward.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mendy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maximus Jr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Mendy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Maximus Jr fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mendy throws a lazy uppercut
and Maximus Jr counters with a two punch combo.
Maximus Jr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Good standup being displayed there by Maximus Jr as he connects with a hook.

Oh Mendy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Maximus Jr counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mendy's knee momentarily.
Mendy seems to have got his legs back now.

Maximus Jr let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Mendy dives in and grabs Maximus Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maximus Jr pushes down on Mendy's head and hops out.
And Maximus Jr tries to counter it with a takedown but Mendy pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Maximus Jr keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mendy takes one to the side of the head.
Maximus Jr scores with a jab to the body.
Maximus Jr drops Mendy with a straight right hand, right on the button! Maximus Jr follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

A relieved looking Marcus Megnus Maximus Jr Maximus Jr thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
