Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lion Tiger (ranked 256 p4p, 609 weight class) and Grant Alyoshin (ranked 38 p4p, 90 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tiger might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Alok - Hear Me Tonight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lion Tiger!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grant Alyoshin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiger tries a head kick but it misses.
Alyoshin looks to clinch
and Tiger counters with a straight right hand.
Alyoshin dodges the punch combination from Tiger.
Tiger blocks a head kick by Alyoshin.
It looked like Tiger wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Tiger moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Alyoshin lands a really nice looking cross but Tiger seems unphased.
We've been told by Tiger's head coaches at Alpha Brasil that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The fighters circling - Tiger throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tiger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alyoshin circles away quickly and effectively.
Tiger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alyoshin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Tiger counters with a right hand to the body.

Tiger swings for the body but Alyoshin moves out of range.
Tiger throws an overhand right that lands on Alyoshin's shoulder, as Alyoshin tries to avoid the shot.

Tiger connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Alyoshin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tigers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Grant Alyoshin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alyoshin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Alyoshin darts in and clinches Tiger up against the cage.

Alyoshin raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Alyoshin has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Tiger seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Alyoshin can turn it around.

Tiger's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
