The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Grounder shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than The Grounder was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kyokusei throws The Grounder to one side and escapes!
Kyokusei looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kyokusei misses with a kick to the body
and The Grounder counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by The Grounder.
The Grounder is standing up over Kyokusei. Kyokusei looks to escape but The Grounder dives into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kyokusei turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips The Grounder off and cradles Kyokusei's limp body as The Grounder celebrates with his corner.
