Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kamaru Usman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Caleb Paterson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paterson throws a shot from downtown. Usman moves away and avoids it.
Usman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paterson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Usman moves in looking to clinch but Paterson pushes him off.

Usman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Paterson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Usman is controlling him.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Usman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Usman stands up over Paterson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Paterson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Usman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Paterson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Paterson lands a lovely overhand right.
Paterson thuds a left hand into Usman's body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Paterson lands a jab to the head.
Paterson throws out a powerful jab.
Usman is rocked!
Paterson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Oh Usman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kamaru Usman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Paterson ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Usman's jaw. Usman's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Paterson does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
