The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rolf uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eagle.
Eagle connects with a right hand. Rolf shakes it off.
We've been hearing reports that Rolf has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Eagle missing with a left hand there. Rolf was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rolf stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rolf closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Eagle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Eagle tries to improve position but can't.
Rolf is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Eagle is trying to escape and Rolf transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Eagle is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rolf! Very nice indeed!
