Sterling's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Snake by Lil Keed. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Sterling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kent Dew!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sterling shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dew pinned against the cage. Dew gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dew manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sterling on his heels. He'll look to pass Sterling's guard now, I'm sure.
Dew seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Sterling has his foot on Dew's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dew works his way back into a safe position though.
Dew landing with the ground and pound.
Dew lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dew is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Sterling looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sterling wants to sweep but no luck.

Dew drops back looking for a leg! Sterling is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sterling manages to kick Dew off! Dew jumps back into Sterling's guard.
Dew scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Sterling looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dew must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sterling looking for a guillotine here but Dew defends easily.
Dew working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sterling's head.

Sterling working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dew doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dew manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sterling is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sterling has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dew doesn't defend quickly enough and Sterling has managed to lock this one up! Can Dew escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sterling on a fantastic submission victory.

After the fight, Adrian Sterling was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
