Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jones (ranked 1751 p4p, 1234 weight class) and Raykuza Maui (ranked 77 p4p, 56 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kim Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raykuza Maui!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Topper Green and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones feints and then cracks Maui's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Maui down.
Jones's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Raykuza Maui has been cut.

Maui fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Maui's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Maui escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jones is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Maui knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Maui for a finish.
Jones seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Jones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Maui is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jones.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Maui can do to turn this around?

Maui tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jones creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Jones fails to pull guard.
Jones tries to pull guard but Maui forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Maui working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Maui throws a punch but it's blocked by Jones.
Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Jones lands a nice uppercut.
Maui working aggressively here.
Kim Jones has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Jones can't break the clinch.

Maui pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Maui darts in trying to clinch
and Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kim Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones tries a low kick but Maui avoids it.
Maui checks a leg kick.
Jones misses with a right hand
and Maui counters with a nice body shot.

Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination.

That has opened up Raykuza Maui's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Maui.
Jones is looking to counter punch.
Jones throws a poor cross that misses
and Maui counters with a straight right hand.
Maui tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jones counters with a good low kick that Maui was not able to check.
Kim Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Maui slips a straight right by Jones.
It seemed like Maui was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jones punishes Maui's body with a nice straight punch.
Maui moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.

Jones drops Maui with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Maui looks back up at him and smiles so Jones waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Maui is rocked!
Maui moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jones drops Maui with a straight right hand, right on the button! Jones follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kim Jones!
Kim Jones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Raykuza Maui spoke after the fight, saying 'There's a reason this guy is a legend, shit like that. There's no shame in losing to that guy. I had fun, i'm sure he did too and so did the fans. I love y'all. I'll be back.'.
