Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Comblin (ranked 3043 p4p, 3373 weight class) and Peter Ross (ranked 398 p4p, 439 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lee Comblin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Ross! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Comblin moves to clinch but Ross breaks away so Ross counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Comblin wants to stand up but Ross is controlling him. Ross has gone for a leg lock! Comblin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ross's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Comblin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ross's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Comblin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Comblin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Comblin stands up and waves to Ross to follow him. Comblin moves into the clinch.

A solid leg kick lands there for Comblin.
A nice inside leg kick there by Comblin. That's going to slow Ross down. Ross takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Comblin. A left and a right from Comblin both land. Nice combination. Comblin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters circle momentarily. Comblin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Comblin throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Comblin scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ross takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Crunch! Comblin slams his shin into Ross's torso. Comblin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Comblin lands a jab-cross combination. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A nice leg kick from Comblin, right into the meat of the thigh.
Comblin tries to clinch but Ross is having none of it. Ross lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Comblin dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ross walks into a left hand. Comblin's corner calls for a 1-2. Comblin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Lee Comblin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Comblin scores with a leg kick.
Comblin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Comblin lands with a kick to the temple. Ross shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ross stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Comblin. Comblin throws a nice looking combination but Ross bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Comblin scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Comblin lands a slapping body shot.
Comblin explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Comblin lands a jab to the nose. Comblin has closed the distance and engaged Ross in a clinch.

Lee Comblin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Ross. Ross is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Comblin can't fight it off and eventually Ross manages to take the fight to the floor. Comblin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ross drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Comblin dives on top into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Comblin is looking to stand up but Ross won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ross tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ross escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Comblin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Comblin stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Comblin connects with a high kick. Comblin cracks Ross with a good jab. Comblin connects with a solid leg kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Comblin is looking to slow Ross down with leg kicks. Comblin connects with a nice looking jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Comblin dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Comblin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Comblin scores with a jab to the head.
Peter Ross is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Comblin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Comblin throws a quick inside leg kick. Good standup being displayed there by Comblin as he connects with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Comblin lands an overhand right. Comblin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ross can do to turn this around? Ross takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Comblin. Comblin goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Lee Comblin is winning the standup battle so far. Comblin works Ross's body with a nice hook. Ross tries to move into range but Comblin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Ross takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Comblin lands with a slapping head kick. Comblin thuds a left hand into Ross's body. Comblin lands a right hook to the body.
Comblin throws a nice inside leg kick. Ross takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Comblin lands with a kick to the temple. Ross shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Ross's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Comblin clinches up against the cage. Comblin breaks the clinch.
Comblin punishes Ross's body with a nice straight punch. Comblin closes the distance and pushes Ross back into the cage. Comblin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ross needs to keep his hands up - Comblin had a free shot at his head there. Comblin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ross in his tracks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Comblin works Ross's body with a nice hook. Lee Comblin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Comblin throws a nice inside leg kick. Comblin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Comblin works the jab nicely. Ross takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Lee Comblin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Comblin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Lee Comblin showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Comblin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
