Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pawel Nastula (ranked 5775 p4p, 3632 weight class) and Night Lights (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Night Lights has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pawel Nastula's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pawel Nastula! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Night Lights! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lights darts in looking for a takedown but Nastula gets double underhooks and turns Lights into the cage. Nastula stuffs the takedown attempt from Lights. Lights gets slowly back to his feet. Nastula shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lights defends it nicely. Nastula drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Nastula drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lights manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nastula has Lights in his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lights stopping the sweep attempt from Nastula.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lights trying to control but Nastula is working from the bottom. Nastula wants to sweep here but Lights controlling him for the moment. Lights landing with the ground and pound. Lights preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lights drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lights jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nastula wants to sweep here but Lights controlling him for the moment. Nastula throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Nastula will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Lights must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nastula looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lights is one step ahead there.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Nastula throws a head kick but Lights moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lights misses with a takedown attempt - Nastula sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pawel Nastula has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Night Lights. Lights rushes Nastula and presses him up against the cage. Nastula fails to pull guard.

He's persisting with it as Nastula sprawls well. Nastula wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lights gets slowly back to his feet. Lights has a takedown stuffed. A combination from Nastula does no damage. Nastula looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lights! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nastula is trying to get an arm triangle but Lights is defending well. That was a close round but I would say that Pawel Nastula will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Nastula tries for a takedown but Lights circles away easily and Lights counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lights fails with a takedown attempt. Nastula tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lights manages to circle out of the way. Lights closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nastula circles away. Nastula goes for a double leg but Lights avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lights continues to drive forward. Nastula goes for a takedown attempt but Lights pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

It looked like Nastula was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Lights shoots in for a takedown but Nastula shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nastula takes a swing at Lights's ribcage but misses. Nastula misses with a jab, cross combination.

Lights is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Nastula presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Lights is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nastula closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nastula thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Nastula is looking to take a break and control but Lights is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nastula tries for a kimura. And that's the end of the fight! Pawel Nastula showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nastula, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
