Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Biden (ranked 4353 p4p, 4258 weight class) and Ariihau Paeniu (ranked 116 p4p, 521 weight class). Paeniu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. OCN kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paeniu shoots in looking for a takedown but Biden manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Paeniu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Paeniu throws a sloppy head kick and Biden moves out of range easily.
Paeniu shoots in looking for a takedown but Biden manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Paeniu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Biden shoots in looking for a takedown. Paeniu tries to sprawl out of it but Biden keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Paeniu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Biden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Paeniu's waist but Paeniu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Biden off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Biden seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paeniu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Paeniu pushes Biden off and gets back to his feet.
Paeniu lands a head kick. Biden smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Biden closes the distance and clinches up with Paeniu, looking for a takedown. Biden pushes Paeniu against the cage but Paeniu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Paeniu counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Paeniu goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Oh Biden is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Biden walks forward, straight into a front kick from Paeniu.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Biden takes a kick to the side of the head.
Paeniu lands a big head kick that sends Biden to the canvas! Paeniu follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ariihau Paeniu!
A relieved looking Ariihau Paeniu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
