Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cuervo Oquendo (ranked 3171 p4p, 2189 weight class) and Stephen Steve (ranked 402 p4p, 291 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Oquendo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Oquendo looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Steve lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oquendo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steve tries to avoid it but Oquendo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steve to the ground. Steve escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oquendo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Oquendo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
