Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khorchi Tugan (ranked 4723 p4p, 4946 weight class) and Daiboru Kyokusei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Kyokusei.
Daiboru Kyokusei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kyokusei looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tugan checks a leg kick.

Tugan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kyokusei, pushing him back against the cage.

Tugan jumps guard and drags Kyokusei to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tugan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kyokusei defends well.
Tugan is pulling down on Kyokusei's head. It's preventing any offense from Kyokusei, at least for the moment.
Kyokusei won't allow Tugan to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kyokusei wants to get up but he can't break Tugan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Tugan is looking for a triangle but Kyokusei pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kyokusei wanted to stand there but Tugan had control of the position.

Tugan seems keen to control Kyokusei's posture.

Kyokusei wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Tugan's closed guard. He's half up but Tugan has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Tugan pivots and extends the arm, Kyokusei falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Tugan! Well done that man!
