Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keenwah Graines (ranked 2443 p4p, 3213 weight class) and Ingo Szopa (ranked 322 p4p, 415 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keenwah Graines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ingo Szopa!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szopa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Szopa is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Graines gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Szopa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Szopa can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Szopa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Graines's head.
Szopa jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Szopa misses the shot to the body.
Graines is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Szopa changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Graines looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Graines throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Graines counters with a series of strikes. Szopa will be more careful next time no doubt.
Graines has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Graines there as he acknowledges the shot.

Szopa's corner calls for a 1-2. Szopa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That was a close round but I would say that Keenwah Graines will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Szopa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Graines throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Szopa drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Graines defends it well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Szopa just misses with a punch to the body.
Graines takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Graines tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
No joy there for Szopa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Szopa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Graines takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Szopa works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Graines is rocked!

Szopa shoots in and bounces Graines off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Oh Graines is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Szopa gets to his feet and stands over Graines, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Graines felt that one! Szopa unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Graines from any more punishment!
