The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amir throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gonzalez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Amir keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Amir closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Admir Amir has been cut.
Gonzalez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Amir's head backwards.
Amir throws a body shot but no joy.
Gonzalez appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
A lazy left from Amir finds it's target.
Amir misses with a hook

and Gonzalez counters with a crisp right hand that drops Amir! Gonzalez lets Amir back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Amir is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gonzalez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Amir.
Amir is still on wobbly legs! Can Gonzalez finish him?
Amir swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Gonzalez counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

A relieved looking Miguel Gonzalez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
