And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 8 losses; Matt Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Barnes closes the distance and clinches.
Barnes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dolton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dolton has hold of one of Barnes's legs. Barnes is fighting the takedown attempt but Dolton gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Barnes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dolton controls the pace.

Dolton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Barnes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dolton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dolton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dolton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Barnes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

In his post fight interview, Matt Barnes started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Scott Dolton stepped up to the mic, saying 'It is a joke? Let's start it over again.'.
