And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 7 losses; Scott Hall!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Hall seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Dolton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Hall might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Dolton tries to buck Hall off but Hall is having none of it.

Hall is looking to take a break and control but Dolton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Hall looking to control but instead Dolton has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Dolton is not content to let Hall control the position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dolton is refusing to be controlled, as Hall sits in half guard.

Let's hope that Hall has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hall is pressing down on Dolton's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dolton is holding on for now.

Dolton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hall controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hall is continuing to stall.
Dolton is trying to control the position from the bottom.

After winning the bout, Scott Hall thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
