And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Dan Miles! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Banner closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Miles quickly recovers to half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Banner (2) vs (0) Miles Banner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Miles knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Banner content to control rather than advance. Banner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miles for as long as he can get away with. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miles is looking to control Banner's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Miles avoid being mounted?

Still in half guard, Banner seems content to control. Miles makes his way to full guard, as Banner worked for a kimura.
Miles looks winded! Banner passes Miles's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banner has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Miles defend it? Banner steps over the head and cranks it - Miles is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Banner!
