And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 1 losses; Henry Waterman! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Harged moves into the clinch successfully.
Harged has hold of one of Waterman's legs. Waterman is fighting the takedown attempt but Harged gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Harged (2) vs (0) Waterman Waterman is looking for a triangle but Harged pushes his legs off easily.
Waterman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Harged (2) vs (2) Waterman Waterman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Waterman wants to work for an arm triangle but Harged is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Waterman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waterman tries to pass to full mount but Harged defends it. Waterman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waterman is working for a submission of some sort.
Harged makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Harged. Harged controls Waterman momentarily but Waterman frees himself. Waterman slips nicely into half guard. Waterman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Harged doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Waterman. Waterman uses his free foot to push down on Harged's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Harged. Score +3 for passing guard: Harged (2) vs (5) Waterman
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waterman looking for a guillotine from mount but Harged is having none of it. Waterman is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Waterman extends the arm and Harged is forced to tap!
