Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Crush Bandicoot (ranked 601 p4p, 851 weight class) and Tommy Gavin (ranked 66 p4p, 97 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crush Bandicoot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Gavin!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandicoot on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Gavin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bandicoot.
Bandicoot on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Bandicoot throws a hook to the side of Gavin's head but Gavin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gavin loads up on a big right hand but Bandicoot slips the punch.
Gavin moves out of range as Bandicoot strikes.
Bandicoot takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bandicoot swings away with a body shot that misses
and Gavin counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bandicoot needs to keep his hands up - Gavin had a free shot at his head there.
Gavin lands a nice hook to Bandicoot's body. Bandicoot takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Gavin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bandicoot drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gavin cracks a nice hook into Bandicoot's ribs.
Gavin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bandicoot throws out the jab.
Gavin thuds his right hand into Bandicoot's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bandicoot tries to move into range but Gavin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A low kick lands for Gavin.
A jab from Bandicoot does it's job there.

It looks like Tommy Gavin has been cut.
Gavin avoids the body shot from Bandicoot.
Gavin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bandicoot stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bandicoot swings for the body but Gavin moves out of range.
A good leg kick by Gavin.
Bandicoot moves out of range of the strikes.
It looked like Bandicoot wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gavin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Gavin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gavin is pulling down on Bandicoot's head to control his posture.
Gavin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bandicoot looking for a guillotine here but Gavin defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gavin's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bandicoot is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bandicoot wants to control but Gavin is keeping him busy.
Gavin controlling the position for now.

Gavin wants to improve his position but Bandicoot is controlling well.

Bandicoot is nestled in close to Gavin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Gavin is looking for a sweep. Bandicoot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bandicoot wants to free his trapped foot but Gavin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gavin is staying active underneath Bandicoot, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gavin is trying to stand.
Gavin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gavin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gavin has control of Bandicoot's left arm, preventing Bandicoot from doing any damage.
Bandicoot lands a couple of elbows.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Bandicoot counters with a three punch combo that has Gavin backing up. Gavin nods at Bandicoot to acknowledge the strikes.
Gavin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Bandicoot lands a jab to the head.
Gavin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bandicoot staying out of range there.
Gavin misses with a hook. Bandicoot ducked under it nicely.
It looked like Bandicoot was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gavin.
Gavin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bandicoot doesn't seem bothered though.
Gavin throws out a leg kick but Bandicoot moves out of range and Gavin only half commits.
A quick step to the side and Bandicoot tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gavin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bandicoot manages to avoid it.
Gavin throws a head kick but Bandicoot moves out of range.
Tommy Gavin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gavin throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bandicoot counters with a nice body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gavin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gavin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looked like Bandicoot was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gavin.
Gavin lands a slapping body shot.
Gavin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gavin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gavin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tommy Gavin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gavin lands with a right hand.
Gavin looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A jab lands there for Gavin.
A head kick misses from Gavin.
Bandicoot looks to score with a jab to the body but Gavin is just out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gavin! But no joy.
Gavin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bandicoot's hands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bandicoot scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gavin doesn't seem bothered though.
That kick from Gavin tenderised Bandicoot's leg. Bandicoot is trying to keep his angry face on.

Gavin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bandicoot throws out a loose jab but Gavin uses good head movement to avoid it.
A low kick from Gavin is predictable there
and Bandicoot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gavin gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Bandicoot counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gavin throws out a leg kick but Bandicoot moves out of range and Gavin only half commits.
Gavin scores with a hook to the body. Bandicoot takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gavin will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bandicoot half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bandicoot misses with a straight left.
Bandicoot connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Gavin! He's out on his feet! Bandicoot rushes in and drops Gavin with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
