Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Beach (ranked 214 p4p, 455 weight class) and Alex Deigos (ranked 37 p4p, 71 weight class). Alex Deigos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sammy Beach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Deigos!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deigos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Beach sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Beach was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sammy Beach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Deigos cracks Beach with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Deigos throws a looping overhand right but Beach ducks down to avoid it.
Deigos might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Beach lands a body shot.
Beach looks to land a combination. Deigos sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Alex Deigos has been cut.
Deigos misses with a straight left.
Beach slips a jab and a cross from Deigos.
Deigos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Beach gets a clinch.
Beach fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Beach tries a body shot but Deigos blocks it.

Deigos is looking to control Beach's arms but Beach gets an underhook and turns him. Now Deigos has his back to the cage.
Deigos has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Deigos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Beach clobbers Deigos with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Deigos in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Beach drops Deigos with a beautiful combination! Deigos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Beach is looking for the KO!

BOOM! Beach lands a beautiful left hook that drops Deigos. Deigos tries to recover but Beach is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Deigos lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
