Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Biniyam Shibre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pupp Eye!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shibre lands a nice looking body kick.
Eye walks forward, straight into a front kick from Shibre.
Eye moves out of range as Shibre throws a body kick.
Eye throws a solid leg kick but Shibre takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Eye.
Shibre definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Shibre throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Eye looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Eye blocks a head kick by Shibre.
Shibre swings for the body but Eye moves out of range.
Shibre fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Eye has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Shibre. Eye shrugs it off though.
Eye tests Shibre's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Eye tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shibre sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eye somewhat.
Shibre tries to land a front kick but Eye steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A low kick from Shibre misses
and Eye counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Shibre throws a looping overhand right but Eye ducks down to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eye avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Eye is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Shibre is looking for a triangle but Eye pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Shibre wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Eye is now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Eye in particular looking to stall.

Eye is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shibre doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Eye.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Eye in particular looking to stall.

Shibre is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Eye knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Eye for a finish.

Shibre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eye can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Eye stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shibre swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Eye chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shibre can pounce on him.

Eye's coach down at BKC Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Eye's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Eye closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Eye misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shibre does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Eye wants to take the fight to the mat but Shibre manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Biniyam Shibre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pupp Eye is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Eye blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
