Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Woolard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Woolard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thiago Silva! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Woolard paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silva avoids the head kick by Woolard.
Silva shoots in and bounces Woolard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Woolard's guard. Silva wants to stand but Woolard has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Silva wants to free his trapped foot but Woolard is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woolard flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Silva prevents Woolard from improving his position. Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Woolard is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is looking for a kimura but Woolard is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silva to get the leverage. Silva is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Woolard has managed to free his arm - good work. Silva looks gassed!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Woolard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Woolard working the ground and pound from side control. Woolard is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woolard working away. Silva is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Woolard's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Woolard is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now. Woolard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Silva wants to control but Woolard is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Woolard thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Silva if he has to take too many more of those.
Silva shoots and misses and Woolard counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Woolard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Woolard dives into side control.
Woolard cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Woolard wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Silva tries to buck Woolard off but Woolard is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Woolard working the ground and pound from side control. Silva is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Woolard asserts his dominance and retains side control. Woolard tries to advance to mount but Silva denies him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Woolard instigates a clinch. Woolard is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Woolard tries for a takedown but Silva manages to get underhooks.
Woolard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Woolard. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short right from Silva on the inside. Woolard tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Silva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Woolard uses from the top position. Silva manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Woolard shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Woolard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Woolard counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. Silva sneaks back into half guard. Silva is pressing down on Woolard's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Silva wants to sweep here but Woolard controlling him for the moment. Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Woolard passes into half guard. Woolard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Silva tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woolard is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Silva wants to control but Woolard is keeping busy and won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva wants to improve his position but Woolard is controlling well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Woolard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Silva is looking for a triangle but Woolard pushes his legs off easily.

Woolard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Woolard trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Woolard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Woolard passes Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Silva is looking for a sweep. Woolard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Silva misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Woolard seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt. Silva looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Silva is positioning himself well to prevent Woolard advancing to mount. Woolard is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Woolard seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Woolard wants to get back to his feet.
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva working for a triangle but Woolard defends it easily.

Tyson Woolard dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Woolard lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Woolard. Silva with a poor takedown and Woolard moves into the clinch. Woolard jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Woolard pushes Silva off and scrambles back to his feet.
Woolard clinches up against the cage. Woolard lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Silva is trying to stand up here but Woolard is controlling him well. Tyson Woolard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silva is trying to maintain the position but Woolard is very close to passing his half guard. Silva wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Woolard pulls his head out easily. Silva flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control but Woolard is having none of it. Woolard is trying desperately to improve position. Silva wants to control the pace but Woolard is squirming around nicely. Silva throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Silva is trying to control here but Woolard has managed to regain half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Woolard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage. Woolard works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Woolard postures up.
Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Woolard is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Woolard's back instead. Woolard is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Thiago Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Silva biding his time, controlling Woolard.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyson Woolard showed his dominance in that final round. Well Woolard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
