Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Muadh Jabal (ranked 5847 p4p, 24795 weight class) and Drud Simpson (ranked 515 p4p, 551 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Muadh Jabal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drud Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabal throws a hook but Simpson avoids it easily.
Simpson throws a head kick but Jabal moves out of range.

Simpson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jabal on his heels. He'll look to pass Jabal's guard now, I'm sure.

Jabal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simpson on the ground.

Simpson gets to his feet - Jabal follows without any prompting.
Simpson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jabal avoids it really well and circles away.

Simpson feints and as Jabal raises his hands in defense, Simpson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Simpson distracts Jabal with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jabal has momentary wrist control but Simpson slips an elbow through the middle.

Jabal is rocked!
Simpson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Simpson gets to his feet. Jabal looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Simpson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jabal!

In his post fight interview, Drud Simpson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
