The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kan tries to bum rush Mills with a series of wild strikes but Mills uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Demarques Mills seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mills scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kan's coaches at Hilo MMA have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Mills lands a nice forearm strike.
Mills is trying to get an arm triangle but Kan is defending well.
Mills is working to tighten his grip on Kan's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kan has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mills is really squeezing tight and eventually Kan passes out! Mills breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
