Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kuol Riak (ranked 1011 p4p, 987 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 105 p4p, 104 weight class). Riak's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eye Of The Tiger. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Riak tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Polo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Kuol Riak has been cut.
Riak uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Polo.

and Polo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Riak has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Polo.

Polo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Polo's coach down at Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Polo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Riak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Polo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Polo misses with an uppercut. Riak saw that one coming.
Good exchange - Riak coming out on top.
Polo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Polo throws out a loose jab but Riak uses good head movement to avoid it.

Polo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Riak throws out the jab.
Polo throws out a counter right but Riak avoids it with no problem.
